The detail : Nade-Ushi, Jinja shrine, Kanazawa, Japan

This picture alone makes me want to go back to Japan right away. Just how peaceful, humble and gracious does this look? It's strange how everything on this image, down to the delicate grass tufts and the way the moss lays on top of the statue seems to encompass what I love about this country. They say that stroking the cow will cure physical ills, do they mean in addition to easing your mind?

The very beautiful Jinja Shrine is right next to the Kenroku-en garden in Kanazawa. I suggest you venture away from the main square and go by the pond to explore its hidden corners.
