In situ : Sintra, Portugal

What…this isn’t Morocco? That’s where this fountain would belong, but this Sintra and here there is no such thing as “out of place”. The small town is well known for its eccentric palaces, most of them dating from the 19th century. I guess in that particular case someone thought an Arabian Nights touch was totally de rigueur.


Sintra is colder than Lisbon, bring a scarf if you go there in autumn!
