Firenze is surely romantic, probably because of the Renaissance’s recurring spring theme. I guess the abundance of pastels – and pinks!- in the architecture and in the paintings plays an important role too. But what’s more surprising is that there’s also something very tidy about it, ilke a very carefully designed candy emporium, I mean, look at those geometric marble patterns!
As soon as the sun declines though, the city shows a more medieval face with dark brown hues and imposing buildings, but that’s another story…
