The late afternoon sun shining on the façade of the Palazzo Pitti is one perfect example of the use of natural light in architecture.
At this particular time of the day, the neighbouring streets are already in the shadows while the Palazzo is literally glowing and its stone suddenly turns golden. The giant lion heads decorating the windows certainly help making the phenomenon more impressive…
