This one more of these incredible architectural experiences you get in Brasilia, where science-fiction imposes itself as the norm.
Sharing this picture right now is not completely innocent on my part, and even if Niemeyer’s reference was probably more Mesoamerican than Egyptian, it gives me the chance to say that it looks like we will be going back to Egypt at the end of May, five years after our first trip there. I will tell you more soon, but we will get the opportunity to see the Nile Valley this time, which I always said we would have to come back for. I will probably look back at what unpublished pictures of our last journey I still have in my archives in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

C’est encore un de ces moments à Brasilia où l’architecture devient vraiment une expérience, et où la science-fiction parvient à s’imposer comme la norme.
Partager cette photo aujourd’hui n’est pas complétement innocent de ma part, car même si la référence de Niemeyer était probablement plus mésoaméricaine qu’égyptienne, ça me donne l’opportunité de vous annoncer qu’il semblerait qu’un voyage pour l’Egypte s’annonce à la fin du mois de mai, cinq ans après notre premier voyage là-bas. Je vous en dirais plus bientôt, mais nous aurons la chance cette fois de voir la Vallée du Nil, que je m’étais promis de revenir voir un jour. Je vais replonger dans mes archives d’Egypte dans les semaines à venir, car il y a sûrement encore des photos que j’aimerais vous montrer…à suivre!
