The City of Paris’ Museum of Modern Art is located in an Art Deco building build in 1937. The emptiness of both the hall and the surroundings are giving a strange futuristic feel to the place.
In the permanent collection, don’t miss “the Matisse room” with its giant frescoes. There’s also some nice examples of paintings and sculptures from the interwar years, like the one above from Jean Hélion.
