The view : from the Sintra-Lisbon train, Portugal

It's often interesting to have a look at big city's suburbs, even if it's just through the window of a train. I find that the architecture there is always some weird echo of what's going on downtown. Here in Portugal, I was only half surprised to see this flat covered with patches of geometric patterns, masquerading the azujelos tiles you can see on traditional Lisbon buildings.
