The scene : a bike ride in the olive groves, Apulia, Italy

Pedaling through those quiet lanes is a good way to get a sense of what makes Apulia so good. The beautiful tortuous olive trees, the mysterious trulli, the fields of ripe tomatoes and the golden late afternoon sun: what else does one need?
_____________

Some of those lanes are actually ancient Roman roads.
We’re in the countryside right next to the small town of Ostuni.
A trullo (plural trulli) is a traditional construction of the region, you can’t miss them with their conical roofs.
