The place : Urbana 47, Rome, Italy

Food is a very serious business in Rome. So serious that at times we found it hard to find places with a younger, more modern vibe that would of course serve excellent food. If you’re a bit tired of the red and white checkered tablecloths and wanna see the fresher side of the slow food movement, Urbana 47 is the place the to go.
We ate there for lunch, but I love the fact that it’s open from 8am, with different offerings at each of the day (breakfast, lunch, tapas and dinner).

I know there’s no food pictured above…but it was so good I didn’t manage to take a shot, which means you’ll have to trust me on this one!

Check their website to get more details on the menus and see some mouth watering pictures.
The restaurant is located in the Monti quarter just behind the Coliseum. With its cool shops and nice cafés the neighbourhood is a personal favourite, that’s one more reason to go there!

It is so great to get the inside scoop on food in Rome. The dreaded tourist trap is our worse nightmare. This little gem will be on our list for sure. Kinda funny you didn’t take a photo of the food but don’t worry if it was that good we trust you 😉
