The view : from the Chorio, Symi island, Greece

The breathtaking views is what I miss the most about Greek islands. This feeling of being literally surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, of seeing it everywhere you look, is quite unique. Most of the islands are so small that it makes the sea feels gigantic in comparison. If you had the heat to the mix, it's only natural that it's also the land of rooftops and terraces. The houses in Symi's old town, the Chorio, are often quite small, yet they managed to have several of them. Because, as the sun begins to cool down, there's no better spot than up there.

This picture was taken in the beautiful little house we rented in Symi last summer. You can find it on Airbnb.
Symi is part of the Dodecanese islands, more pictures of the island this way.

You have nice view of the area. How much is the rent on that house?

@Peter Between 100 and 130 euros/night, depending on the period. I think there’s even still some availability for this summer!

I am really inspired with your writing abilities
as neatly as with the structure to your weblog. Is that this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way, keep up the excellent high quality writing, it is uncommon to peer a nice blog like this one these days..
