Remember how impressed I was with the Calouste Gulbenkian museum in Lisbon?
Well, this is its modern art little brother. It’s not as vast and of course and the choice of a “modern” scenography isn’t surprising for modern art, but it’s still worth it!
There are some nice pieces in the selection, mostly because of the lesser-known Portuguese artists and also thanks to the rather dark ambiance, an interesting change from the classic white walls-white light display of this kind of museum.
__________I’ve regrouped all my museum posts under a new section called Art Trip, check it out! Information to get there. The pictures above show works by Derrock Woodham, Tim Scott, António Areal, Nikias Skapinakis, Pedro Casqueiro and Amadeo De Souza-Cardoso.
