Guess what’s not going to fit in my carry-on? An oversized vintage chandelier of course!
There are many things on offer in the basement of Vintagerie, a Viennese vintage furniture shop, but the chandelier were like nothing I had seen before. They were carelessly associating bling and modernism, putting to shame all their royal ancestors with a bold abundance of crystal and geometry.
We were told it was Viennese design, and not Austrian design: not the same thing you see! When you’re that glitzy, you can afford to be a little bit of a snob.
