The scene : going down the Palue river, Castets, France

My complete passion for rivers means I won’t pass an occasion to paddle through one if I’m given the chance.
The tiny Palue river has the slow pace of a nice summer day. There won’t be rapids and giant rocks there, but only the golden light filtering through the trees and the pink bushes and that wonderful feeling of sliding softly on the water.

Marie and Patrick, from the Palika Lodge will point you in the right direction to rent a canoe.
Beware though, this quiet experience can turn into a bit of a water riot when it’s high season and tourists get wild!

This is so beautiful and peaceful. Reminds me of where I grew up in the PNW.
