The view : Kalithea beach, Rhodes, Greece

I loved how rudimentary and frail that beach looked from above, almost like a miniature model. The rocky seaside of Rhodes gives a curious air of survival to otherwise pretty common beach installations. Forced to adapt to the landscape, the fearless Rhodian beach-goer has to secure a stable spot for his sun bed, climb around to get in and out and brave the sizzling limestone.

There is nobody on the beach…it’s because it’s 8 in the morning! It was on the day we woke up early to take pictures of the Kalithea Springs before the crowds and the heat came (see how hard I work for you?)
