I sometimes feel planes get you to destination too quickly. Ten hours sure feel like a long time when you’re stuck in your seat, yet it only provides a poor transition to the exoticism you’re bound to witness.
It had barely been twenty four hours since we arrived in Sri Lanka when we stood on the shores of Kotmale Reservoir. Only now, looking at the pictures, do I realize how lush and wild it was. Back then I was if course stroke by its beauty, but in a more naive, child-like way. I now grasp its grandeur as an adult, intimidated by the scale and pondering how many leeches lay in its tall grass.
More leeches adventures this way.
