Green delight : Sesimbra, Portugal

As we explored by bike this little corner of Portugal we felt it was pretty unspoilt. I was constantly marveling at the richness of colors and shapes of the vegetation. The beach itself was quite a treat: almost desert and bordered by golden cliffs, and if you got tired of the sea you could always go to the salt lake nearby, the Lagoa de Albufeira.

The sea is beautiful, but remember, it’s the Atlantic Ocean, which means there’s a lot of waves and it’s pretty cold!
Sesimbra is the name of the area, but we were staying in Aldeia do Meco, in this bungalow.
