I surely love spring everywhere, but the prettiness of it in Japan sort of leaves me at a loss for words.
Even more so there in the Japanese Alps, in the tiny village of Shirakawa-go. I couldn’t imagine it otherwise though, what else would go with these thatched cottages except wild orchids, tiny flowers, fuzzy pistils and fragile flower bells?
It is the spring of fairytales!
