On our first day in Beirut I kept asking myself: what's with the dusters everywhere? Well...there's nothing like a newcomer's naïveté! After a few hours of strolling the streets, we looked at each other and asked: don't you feel incredibly dusty? Yep, I guess that's Beirut's way of emulating Cairo's charm, except here it's not the desert's sand but the dust from the countless constructions sites all over town. I guess they gave up on actually removing it, so they're just moving it around hoping that eventually, like the city, it would finally settle.
