The opportunity to walk or bike through the countryside is one of the best part of going down the Mekong. The small villages on the shores of the river are delightfully peaceful. The pictures above are from the morning our guide took us to some kind of plant nursery by the water. The myriad of bamboo pots and the tender green of the young plants in the bright morning light was a humble yet beautiful sight.
